Allah[subhanahu wa ta3la] says in Surah Nisaa, verse 100:

He who emigrates (from his home) in the Cause of Allah, will find on earth many dwelling places and plenty to live by. And whosoever leaves his home as an emigrant unto Allah and His Messenger, and death overtakes him, his reward is then surely incumbent upon Allah. And Allah is Ever Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful

Also, Alhamdulilah, just got permission from Anwar Awlaki to tell you that Shaykh Anwar Awlaki, the much loved shaykh, known for his lectures on seerah and hereafter series’ etc. upon his release from prison is in the proccess of recording the second part of the Madeenah series on the life of Rasululah [salAllahu alayhi wa salam]..just thought ya might wanna know cos so many people were waiting for that/looking forward to that.

A new Dhikrullah mini project about Yemen; the land of the Prophets of Allah. An insight of a Muslim youth’s experience of the country, its people and erm thats it. 10 days in Yemen is about a trip to Yemen taken last summer and yea.

But not only that, my ears were blessed to listen to quite possibly one of the single most beautiful recitations of the Quran ever heard..

Surah Maryam [end verse] - Saad al Numani al Madani

Imagine that you have just lost your mobile phone and like you are looking everywhere for it and you think thats it, you’ve lost it. You needed it so badly, it had all your numbers and everything and suddenly..you look under your bed, and there it is, that precious mobile phone you had been searching for everywhere. Imagine the joy you would feel and how pleased you would be. Our Lord, Allah [subhanahu wa ta'3la] is more pleased than that when we repent to him.

Abu Hurairah [radiAllahu anhu] narrated that the messenger of Allah [salAllahu alyhi wa salam] said: By Allah, Allah is more pleased wth the repentance of His servant than what one of you would do on finding the lost camel in the waterless desert [Saheeh Muslim]

For turning back to Allah, for asking him to forgive our sins, Allah [subhanahu wa ta3la] is pleased with us. subhan’Allah for us asking him of something and for us needing him, he becomes pleased. And who is it from amongst us that does not want to please Allah? *smiles*

Continuing on from the conversations the disbelievers will have with Allah [subhanahu wa ta3la]. This time on the day of Judgement, even before entering the hellfire, Allah [subhanahu wa ta3la] tells us what they will say, he says in Surah Sajdah, ayah 12:

وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذِ الْمُجْرِمُونَ نَاكِسُو رُؤُوسِهِمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ رَبَّنَا أَبْصَرْنَا وَسَمِعْنَا فَارْجِعْنَا نَعْمَلْ صَالِحًا إِنَّا مُوقِنُونَ

If you could but see , when those who are lost in sin will hang their heads before their Sustainer, [saying:] “O our Sustainer! we have seen, and we have heard! Return us, then, that we may do good deeds: for indeed, we are certain!”

These people will be full of regret, just wishing to go back into this world and make up for their mistakes and to be given another chance to hear and obey Allah [aza wajal] and his messenger [salAllahu alayhi wa salam] and to do as many good deeds as possible.

So let us learn a lesson from these people and ensure that in this dunya, before we regret like them in the akhirah, that we be of those say : “Our Lord, we hear, we see and we obey”….before its too late *smiles*

..Never thought you’d hear that eh. Something that many of us do when making a dua is when making dua we say insha’Allah [if Allah wills]. So they would say, “may Allah give you biggest bestest thing in the world insha’Allah ameen” or “may Allah give you a pious spouse insha’Allah” etc.

Thats not making a dua, thats saying you want something if Allah wills, which of course is only possible if Allah wills, so whether we say it or not makes no difference as everything is up to Allah [subhanu wa ta3la] as it is. When making dua, as seen from the sunnah of the messenger of Allah SAW, we do not say insha’Allah but we be firm in the request.

The Prophet [salAllahu alayhi wa salam] said: “Let not any one of you say, ‘O Allaah, forgive me if You will, O Allaah, have mercy on me if You will.’ Let him be resolute in the matter, whilst knowing that no one can compel Allaah to do anything.” [Saheeh Bukhari and Muslim]

Also do not ever despair at the mercy of Allah and keep asking and asking, if you don’t get it in this world, you will insha’Allah get it in the next. And remember next time you make dua to Allah SWT…dont’ say insha’Allah *smiles*
