may the peace of allah be upon all you insha-Allah. shukran for the lovely books may Allah reward the people involved. my ustaath showed something to me so i felt i had to bring it forward to the brothers of the website. this is my ustaaz words: If I may be allowed a correction: The book's name is Nukhbat al-FikAr, and not Fikr as it is often misspelled. This correction was often pointed out by my own shaykh, Mufti Sa'eed Palanpuri of Deoband.

Fikar is the plural of fikrah, meaning a thought or idea. The title thus translates into "Selected Thoughts". Fikr, on the other hand, does not refer to specific ideas, but rather to thought as a general unassociated concept.

Also, if it had to be Fikr it would very obviously not rhyme with the second line of the title, "fi Mustalah Ahl al-Athar".
